President Buhari Orders Immediate Probe Of EFCC Boss

The leadership of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) may have landed in fresh trouble following reports that President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an immediate investigation of the anti-graft agency.

According to Vanguard’s exclusive scoop, the president has ordered a discreet investigation over sundry allegations of acts incompatible with leadership of the anti crime agency.

Further investigations revealed that the office of the National Security Adviser (NSA) is saddled with the responsibility of the probe and it involves officials from the National Intelligence Agency and the Department of State Services.
Also, a NSA source told Vanguard that the investigation commenced before the widely publicised report by Dr George Uboh, of the Panic Alert Security Services.
The report alleged that Ibrahim Lamorde, Chairman of the EFCC through various fraudulent Acts/Omissions could not account seized monies amounting to over one trillion Naira.
The EFCC boss was also recently explaining why most cases under prosecution by the commission are stalled.
