Boko Haram Releases New Video Pledging To Fight On

Boko Haram, the deadly jihadist sect plaguing the northeast of Nigeria, has released a new video in which an unidentified militant re-affirmed the insurgents’ allegiance to the Islamic State (ISIS).
In pledging the allegiance to ISIS and its leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the Boko Haram spokesman asserted that the terrorist group, which only recently has been known as IS West Africa Province, was still under the leadership of Abubakar Shekau.
However, Shekau has not appeared in any video since February.

The length of the new video is 16 minutes and 52 seconds.
Tweets supposedly belonging to IS West Africa Province (ISWAP) showed the rebels fully equipped with ammunition that can start a full blown war.
The unidentified man who spoke in Arabic also denied claims that the military had rescued a number of women and children abducted by Boko Haram, saying the security forces had failed on the battled front and were now relying on media campaign to safe face from the Nigerian people.
He concluded by saying that the violent campaign by the group would not be derailed.

It also follows the multiple bomb attack on Damaturu, the Yobo State capital which left 16 dead and 10 injured on Wednesday, October 7.
The State Emergency Management Agency, (SEMA) confirmed the Multiple bomb blasts which occurred at Buhari Housing Estate in Damaturu, Yobe state, informing that the injured had been rushed to Sani Abacha Specialist Hospital, Damaturu-Biu road where there are currently being treated.
