Daily Post reports that Balogun was at the villa alongside other ex-IGs at the occasion marking Nigeria’s 55th Independence Anniversary.

Former
Inspector-General of Police, Tafa Balogun, reportedly visited President
Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa on Thursday
After the removal of the former police boss under the Nuhu Ribadu-led Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), he has rarely appeared in public.
Reports say he pleaded guilty to eight charges of corruption and was sentenced to six months in prison, which he finished in 2006.
Described as a ‘first offender’ who showed remorse in court during the trial, Balogun was ordered to pay a fine of N4 million by Justice Binta Nyako while about $150 million worth of cash and property were also seized from him by the federal government during that process.
