Super Eagles Hold B'Faso To Qualify For CHAN 2016

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have qualified for the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) set to hold in Rwanda next year.
This comes on the heels of the team’s 0-0 draw against Burkina Faso in the second leg of their qualifying tie at Stade du 4 Aout, Ouagadougou on Sunday, October 25.

However, Burkina Faso squandered their best chance of the game from the spot after Abia Warriors captain, Austin Oboroakpo was adjudged to have handled the ball in the box in the 21st minute.
The Eagles matched their opponent in all departments to hold on and record a 2-0 aggregate win at the end of the 90minutes.

The result means that Nigeria has booked a place in CHAN 2017 alongside Angola, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Ethopia, Gabon, DR Congo, Mali, Guinea, Tunisia, Morocco and host Rwanda.
The CHAN 2016 will kick-off on January 16 and end February 7.
