Nigerian Army In Gun Battle With Insurgents In Okene

The Nigerian Army is currently engaging some unknown gunmen suspected to be terrorists in gun battle in Kogi state.

The Nigerian troops are said to be battling suspected militants in Kogi state.

Sources from Okene have confirmed the ongoing gun battle.

According to Premium Times, an Islamic cleric in the town said that the gunmen were “terrorists”.
The cleric said residents remained indoors as the clash continued.
He said: “We are presently in our houses, no any movement at all! Gun shooting everywhere.”
