University of Port-Harcourt’s Vice Chanellor’s Son Kidnapped

According to the university’s public relations officer, William Wordi, the son, Ejiru Laale, was kidnapped around 7 p.m. at the family’s residence in Ebubu, Eleme, Rivers State.
The Rivers state police command is however yet to confirm the kidnap.
It would be recalled that a columnist with the Vanguard newspaper, Donu Kogbara, was recently released by her abductors 11 days after she was kidnapped.
Also in Lagos, wife of Sun Newspaper Deputy Managing Director, Steve Nwosu, Mrs Oluwatoyin who was kidnapped around 2am on Monday.
The mother of four was whisked away from the family home in Okota area of Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.
