However, on Friday, September 18, the deputy governor represented her boss, Rauf Aregbesola, at the closing ceremony of National Women Conference organised by the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials, held at the Eko Hotels and Towers, Victoria Island, Lagos.
PM News reports that Tomori first thanked God and called on the thousands of women present at the conference to join her in giving praises to God as He had done things wonderfully well.
“I thank God for the opportunity given me to be among you today. It is my privilege and honour to deliver the closing speech of this conference,” she said.
Then she reminded the audience about the rumour of her death, but assured them that she was hail and hearty.
“You might have heard rumours that I am dead. It is all a rumour. The rumour is being carried out by people from the other side. Thank God, I am alive.
“The wish of my enemies for me will not come to pass,” she stressed.
Meanwhile, Governor Rauf Aregbesola has agreed to approve the payment of workers salaries. The state government assured workers, who had endured several months of unpaid salaries, that their January and February salaries would be cleared.
